The Dewville Social Club helps individuals in our community that are currently in need, through social support and fundraising. We also partner with local organizations to help important causes.
Annual Baker’sBoil
The Dewville Social Club is doing some amazing things. We are partnering with Sky High (skyhighforkids.org) for the 23rd Annual RR Contracting – Baker’s Boil for Kids to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Texas Children’s Research Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House. We continue to choose Sky High for Kids because of their commitment to eradicate pediatric cancer.
The DVSC has pledged $1 million to the cause and will continue to do everything we can to fight these deadly diseases.
Gary West Memorial Golf Tournament
The DVSC’s annual golf tournament raises funds for youth scholarships and OUR own community philanthropy. Fun. Friends. Drinks. Gifts. And golf after it cools off a bit!

Gary West Memorial Scholarships
The Gary West Memorial Scholarship program helps students begin their new chapter on life. Funds raised come from the Gary West Memorial Golf Tournament, and this year we will hand out $8,000 in scholarships. We will have handed out more than $30,000 in scholarships and helped over 40 kids.
Previously, this tournament was known as the Broke Back Golf Tourney and was used to sponsor individuals in OUR community with spinal injuries. This event has raised almost $300,000 to help people in need. Please, join us as we continue to move forward in OUR mission to help Texas youth grow into adulthood.

Fundraising Benefits
The Dewville Social Club actively supports other 501C3 non-profit organizations and outreach programs. For example, we participated in the Annual Fishing for Whit tournament in Port O’Connor every year, we donate and participate in the Midcoast Smackdown in Rockport, TX benefitting pediatric cancer every year and partner with Big Country Veterans out of Weatherford, TX in our attempt to help combat veterans all over the state of Texas. These are just a few of the many other local outreach organizations we regularly sponsor and support.
Additionally, we attend to local individual needs in OUR community. When a family is in need of burial services, help with medical expenses or assistance to organize their own events, we are always here to help.
Christmas Family Adoption
For the better part of a decade the DVSC has joined in with the local Chamber of Commerce to adopt families in need during the Christmas holidays. We have donated over $10,000 in that time for children’s gifts and family meals. This year we sponsored seven different families.

Local 4H & FFA Auctions
To date the DVSC has helped more than 1,000 local Texas youth through the Wilson County, La Vernia and Nixon-Smiley Junior Livestock Shows. We attend each of the theses events every year, donate to the children individually and support anywhere we can. We believe the hardworking youth of the 4H and FFA programs are the hard working productive members of society in the future, so we support them.
