The DVSC has injected over $250,000 into OUR communities since 2020 through the Scholarship Programs, Chamber of Commerce, Livestock Show, Education Foundation and other personal donations.
Fundraising
Through our annual Baker’s Boil and Golf Tournament events, we raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for good causes, such as Sky High For Kids – an organization dedicated to fighting childhood cancer.
To date the DVSC has raised over $800,000 of our $1 million pledge to Sky High for Kids and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

2022: 4 Scholarships totaling $4,000
2023: 7 Scholarships totaling $5,000
2024: 8 Scholarships totaling $5,000
2025: 8 Scholarships totaling $7,000
2026: the DVSC will grant $8,000 in Scholarships to Stockdale, La Vernia & Nixon-Smiley students!
